This bean has a high-altitude profile grown in the Ethiopian Lekempti region, approximately 1200 metres above sea level. The Lekempti bean has a toasty cocoa finish with earthy notes.
This coffee is perfectly suited to a darker style espresso roast. It will add a great earthy punch and base note to a blend.
The term "Lekempti" refers to the coffee-producing region in the western part of Ethiopia, an area known for its ideal climate for coffee cultivation. Coffee beans from this area tend to have highly valued flavour characteristics, which can include floral, fruity, and sometimes spicy notes.
